16 mm film to digital, 10min45, Sound. 2018

An experimental film shot on 16 mm in Morocco and Jordan, opening on Ibn al-Farid's poem "Water, Air, Fire, Earth'

This film explores both the celluloid's materiality and the crossing of the camera made through the elements of Nature. The film holds images of rocks, rivers, trees, mountains ... inviting the viewer to think as a mineral, as part of those elements. The edit follows a low key dynamic. The work doesn't find its language in words and explanation but could rather be seen such as a painting that crystallizes in perpetual movement and through its very own moment, merely offering a crossing of images, just like we experience walking and strolling in nature.

It evolved from a collaboration with the sound artist Gilles Aubry that raised questions on the artist gesture regarding its subject and field of research.
